Cherifa Atoussi
Cherifa Atoussi is a community advocate using human rights to promote participation, equity, and systemic change. With over 15 years’ experience in gender, race, and economic justice, she works at Account3, a women-led organisation focused on women’s economic development. She leads the Tower Hamlets Women’s Network and the Leadership Programme, training and producing women social leaders driving community change. Cherifa also serves as Vice Chair of the Women’s Commission in Tower Hamlets, advancing strategies to tackle gender inequality. Her work spans projects addressing child trafficking, violence against women and girls, and economic development for marginalised communities in the UK and internationally. Holding an LLB and an MA in Research Law and Human Rights, she brings conscious leadership, equity-centred governance, and community accountability to her efforts to transform funding systems.
