PROPEL LONG TERM GRANTS
Propel Long Term Grants is a seven-year funding programme designed to support organisations leading long-term systems change in London. The programme focuses on organisations led by and for communities experiencing structural inequality, recognising that lasting change requires time, trust and sustained investment.
How it works
The programme is delivered through a pooled fund, bringing funders together around a shared commitment to long-term, relational grant-making. The pooled fund is hosted and managed by Collaboration Circle - which holds funds on behalf of City Bridge Foundation and The National Lottery Community Fund - and provides the governance, grant management and learning infrastructure that enables the programme to operate collectively.
Why this model exists
By working through a pooled fund, Propel Long Term Grants moves away from transactional funding models and towards an approach grounded in trust, flexibility and partnership. Funding is paired with space for reflection, learning and adaptation, enabling organisations to respond to complex challenges as they evolve, rather than being locked into narrow outputs or short funding cycles.
Eleven organisations working to address some of London’s most deep-rooted inequalities are receiving over £10.2 million in long-term funding
