It embeds civil society from the start. Our funding committees and Boards of Directors comprise funders and civil society partners in equal number
Collaboration Circle is a collaborative funding platform designed to help funders and communities work together to tackle complex social challenges.
Through pooled funds, collaborative programmes, and shared governance models, we help partners move beyond isolated funding approaches toward more joined-up, equitable ways of working.
As a subsidiary of Funders Together, Collaboration Circle builds on years of cross-sector collaboration across philanthropy, civil society, and social justice movements. Our work is grounded in the belief that lasting change requires shared power, long-term thinking, and deeper collaboration between those who fund and those closest to the issues that communities want to address.
Today, Collaboration Circle supports a growing range of collaborative initiatives, helping partners pool resources, develop strategy together, and create funding processes that centre equity, participation, and learning.
We are overseen by a Board of Directors made up equally of representatives from the funding sector and equity-focused civil society organisations, reflecting our commitment to shared leadership and accountability.

Through shared decision making and co-designed governance structures, partners can experiment with different forms of grantmaking and test new ways of working
We've put learning at the heart of Collaboration Circle: creating a learning culture which can help
challenge, inspire and change the wider funding system.
Alongside financial resources, we are pooling the skills, knowledge and passion of the people who want to make a difference. We're putting this into practice by seconding a team to deliver our first pooled fund, the Propel Long Term Grants.
